ステレオポニー xかりゆし58 – たとえばうたえなくなったら(Tatoeba, Utaenaku Nattara~ If, for example you couldn’t not sing anymore~)

Stereopony x Kariyushi58 – Tatoeba, Utaenaku Nattara ~ If For Example You Couldn’t Sing Anymore~

Passing Through Countless Towns
Passing Through Countless Times
The newly arrived song dyes red
And resounds to the setting sun

They are vanishing, the “Present” Times
Everything is leading to disappear
Gladness, Despair,
They are vanishing

Someone’s single emptiness
Stumbles in a nook
While the dry wind is blowing
Nothing gets noticed

Still today in this town
Ready the birthplace song
Dusk that freezes hearts
The night remained silent as it gets late
Not able to go home, I cried
Not able to go back, I got bewildered
“Who is the most important person?”
Somehow please remember

The flowers bloom, The flowers scatters
Someday, Everyone will become stars
Not a single(yes, not a single)
Same shapes won’t retain

Someone’s felled tears
Vanishes into the dried asphalt
“Farewell”
Still left unsaid
Are dreams with no place to go

Still tomorrow in this town
Slowly being reborn
About a bunch of limitless
Worthless things, Treasures
Truth, Lies, Everything
Radiantly shines in the light
Nobody knows the answer

Days until tomorrow
And by intervals of tomorrow
It’s always in there
Others can’t go anywhere

Still today in this town
If you read the birthplace song
Dusk that freezes hearts
The night remained silent as it continued
Not able to go home, I cry
Not able to go back, I become bewildered
“Who is the most important person?”
“What is the truly desired thing?”
“Where is the final returning place?”
Somehow please remember

Somehow please remember

*A collaboration with fellow Okinawa band Kariyushi58(it’s vocalist is AIMI’s senpai). A truly heartfelt song, a song that makes you think a lot of things. What if you suddenly can’t sing anymore? what will think and do? on the other hand, not just singing, what if you can’t do what you like anymore? your passion suddenly vanishes because of disability. This makes me think that nothing is permanent, in time, we will keep on losing something. Well, on the bright side, while we lose something, we also gain something in return, this is one of process of what we so called “Growing Up”. So we need to live life while we do what we really want to do before we can’t do it anymore. Time is our enemy, we aren’t getting younger.

ステレオポニー – Stand by Me

Stereopony – Stand by Me

SONG & LYRICS: AIMI
Translator: Kafka

My heart’s throbbing voice
Becomes familiarized before anyone notices

Even when the wind blows strong
Don’t ever close your eyes, always face forward

If you feel like crying, just remember
That secretly agreed oath we had

The departing nestlings’s song
Even now can’t fly that well
Over time and determined to
Pursue tied hands

A wave of piled up emotions
They spin, they severely bound to each other

Carefully turned towards
That kind look which now and then stabs my chest

I lost sight of myself because I covered up
A destination to which I only can know

The departing nestlings
They don’t flock together but flies to their respective places
If you know the meaning of solitude, then all the more
Believing when we connect

Stand by me
Your warmth
It’s being transmitted to me, right now

The departing nestlings’s song
Even now can’t fly that well
Over time and determined to
Pursue tied hands

So I never let you go!!
Even if words just disappears into the sky
Don’t lose your way among the scattered light
Because I will find and get you out

*AIMI’s lyrics keeps on being more inspiring… she again, composed and wrote the song.. Now that they transferred to the main label of Sony Records, the quality of their songs shot up so high now and they added a support guitarist, Mao. Basically they are now 4 members, however Mao is still not introduced as a part of the band. With a 2nd guitarist, their music will evolve more. I like how SHIHO drastically improved her drumming skills in this song, she has more confidence to let out some her hidden talents as a great drummer, she adds more fills now and to say the least, it’s hard to do and a little complex if you refer it to the odd time signature curriculum. Also I love their new look, makes them more mature now, and as usual, the best woman bassist NOHANA never fails to create some awesome bass lines and bass handiwork xD

ステレオポニー – キャンバスに私だけの色をのせて~Canvas ni Watashi Dake no Iro wo Nosete( Applying My Very Own Color to a Canvas)

Stereopony – Canvas ni Watashi Dake no Iro wo Nosete(Applying My Very Own Color to a Canvas)

Lyrics: SHIHO
Song: AIMI
Translator: Kafka

Someday, Memories will surely fade away
I thought throughout as I paint on a canvas

On my passing yesterdays and the advancing tomorrows
I tightly hold my uneasy chest with my right hand

In my faded everyday life with a black & white scenery
Lies my very own feelings of my painted future
With warm light blue and a small stream of yellow
I want to search little by little a color that I only can see

Applying color to a rough draft of the world
With a glittering shining crayon

Fumbling with the excluded usual place
I honestly applied a color I found a while ago

When the ever-changing color of everyday become this so heart throbbing
I too feel this uneasiness that it’s so exciting
The heartlessness of pink, the orange colored of seasons
There is still the rolling rainbow colored happiness to find

Try raising your face
Painting right before your eyes
Don’t overlook it
That moment

Along that gentle moment
It was a time for tears to pour
Put it in a hourglass
Try comparing it

When the ever-changing color of everyday become this so heart throbbing
I too feel this uneasiness too that it’s so exciting
The smiling violet, The warm greenness
There is still the rolling rainbow colored happiness to find

*quite a hard piece to translate, some parts are hard to understand especially it’s so poetic to understand. SHIHO really did a good job writing this complex and poetic lyrics. She some deep Japanese terms but I somehow understood them to a point. I think based on what I understand on the lyrics, she is trying to convey her feelings when we are uneasy and when our feelings are down. Metaphysically, we are painting our own life, we painted our past, we paint our own future, and right now, we are painting our own present, there are times we have to color in some parts, whether it is black or white, or other colors which is a certain analogy that represents on what really happens in out daily lives.
